What Is Holographic Eyeshadow?

Holographic eyeshadow is created by combining cosmetic-grade holographic or laser-effect material with an eyeshadow base formula. The finished product is a formulated cosmetic, not simply loose decorative glitter added to a pan.

The specialty effect powder creates rainbow, prism-like or laser-style reflection. The base formula supports pickup, adhesion, texture, pressing or filling, and the way the optical effect appears on skin.

The visible result changes according to the base color, concentration, particle character, pearl combination, chameleon material, product format and application surface. How to Approve a Holographic Eyeshadow Sample

Holographic and chameleon eye color swatches reviewed under light — A physical sample should be checked under normal light, direct light and more than one viewing angle.

Photography and video are useful for communication, but cameras and screens can change the appearance of prism reflection, base color and particle size. Final approval should use the physical sample.
